""In 1989, Revolutionary Comics started publishing Rock ‘N’ Roll Comics, an unauthorized and unlicensed biographies of rock stars, including late 80s hair bands. The well-researched series was geared towards adults, often with very adult situations. Some artists was very supportive, while others considered it a bootleg recording and took legal action against the publisher. The lawsuits against Revolutionary Comics garnered worldwide press and made the series very popular. There’s no such thing as bad press in the entertainment business, right? Thanks to some good timing and free legal publicity, the series lasted 65 issues and 4 years."
