The 8-track tape of The London Chuck Berry Sessions is a 1972 release featuring both studio and live recordings from Chuck Berry's comeback album. The first side has studio tracks recorded in London with musicians like Kenney Jones and Ian McLagan, while the second side contains live performances from the Lancaster Arts Festival in Coventry, including the hit single "My Ding-a-ling". The live backing band for the festival later became the Average White Band.
The album marked a commercial comeback for Berry and was his best selling album in nearly 50 years.
