Released in 1948, the Cine-Kodak Special II is a 16mm motion picture camera known for its versatility and durability. It features interchangeable film magazines, a two-lens turret, and the ability to shoot standard live action, under/over-cranked footage, and single-frame animation.

 

This Cine-Kodak Special II has a strong crank motor and comes with a 15mm viewfinder, a 25mm viewfinder, and a take-up reel.

  • 16mm Film

    The camera uses 16mm film, either single or double perforated. 

    Interchangeable Film Magazines

    It uses detachable film magazines (also called "film chambers") that hold 100 or 200 feet of film. 

    Two-Lens Turret

    The Special II has a two-lens turret, allowing for quick lens changes. The original Special had a planar turret, but the Special II's diverging turret design prevented longer lenses from interfering with the taking lens.
