The Digital Audio Labs Livemix Pro DA-8 is an eight-channel stereo analog output module designed to bring Livemix Pro personal monitor mixes out of the system and into wireless in-ear monitor transmitters, powered speakers, recording systems, and other analog equipment. Providing eight independently assignable stereo outputs, the DA-8 makes it easy to integrate the flexibility of Livemix Pro personal monitoring with professional analog devices without complicated physical routing.
 
Each DA-8 provides eight stereo analog outputs, available through sixteen balanced 1/4" TRS connectors as well as DB-25 connectivity for clean, efficient rack wiring. Personal mixes created on Livemix Pro mixers can be assigned directly to DA-8 outputs using SoftRoute™, allowing mixes to be routed and reassigned without repatching cables behind the rack. This is especially useful with wireless IEM systems, where performers can retain their personal Livemix mixes while those mixes are delivered directly to rack-mounted wireless transmitters.
 
SoftRoute provides flexible control over which personal mix feeds each DA-8 output. Mix assignments can be changed directly from a connected Livemix Pro DUO, SOLO, or SOLO MD personal mixer. For performers who use different mixes for different instruments or situations, SoftRoute also allows the mix feeding a wireless transmitter to be switched without physically changing connections or requiring the performer to move to another personal mixer.
 
For larger monitoring systems, a Livemix Pro-16 or Pro-32 can support two DA-8 modules, expanding the system to as many as 16 stereo analog outputs. This makes the DA-8 equally useful for compact wireless IEM installations and larger touring, house-of-worship, broadcast, theater, and production systems requiring multiple independently controlled monitor feeds.
 
The DA-8 also includes Digital Audio Labs' Output ID function to simplify installation and troubleshooting. Selecting an output through SoftRoute causes the corresponding front-panel indicator to flash while a test tone is sent through that output. Engineers can quickly determine which wireless transmitter or other device is connected to a particular DA-8 output without tracing cables through the back of a rack.
 
Connection to a Livemix Pro-16 or Pro-32 is made using shielded CAT5e or CAT6 cable, keeping installation straightforward while allowing the DA-8 to be positioned where its analog outputs are needed. Front-panel LED indicators provide at-a-glance output status, while firmware updates are handled through the connected Livemix Pro-16/32.
