Positioning
The monitor is positioned horizontally: you can choose which woofer will produce the midrange using the switch on the rear panel. We recommend keeping the midrange driver inside, on the right for the left loudspeaker, on the left for the right.

  • Slatefiber cone woofers

    - The monitor features dual 6.5-inch Slatefiber woofers, which are made from recycled, non-woven carbon fibers and handcrafted in France. This material delivers neutral, distortion-free sound with excellent rigidity and damping.

    Aluminum inverted-dome tweeter

    - A 1-inch aluminum inverted-dome tweeter produces precise, dynamic, and distortion-free high frequencies. According to Focal, this design provides a wide dispersion for an optimal soundstage regardless of your listening position.

    Horizontal positioning

    - The monitor's horizontal orientation is complemented by a rear-panel switch that allows you to select which woofer handles the midrange frequencies. It is recommended to place the midrange woofer on the inside for the most accurate imaging.

    Acoustic neutrality

    - The Alpha Twin Evo is designed to maintain an identical tonal balance at both low and high volumes, allowing for consistent sound while you work.

    Laminar bass-reflex port

    - The design includes large laminar bass-reflex ports on the front to support low-end performance and acoustic integration.

    High SPL and deep bass

    - The speaker is designed for professionals who need high sound pressure levels (SPL) and deep bass extension.

    Tri-amplification

    - The monitor uses a tri-amped Class D design for power efficiency and dynamic control. This consists of two 50W amplifiers for the mid-range and low frequencies and a 30W amplifier for the high frequencies.

    Versatile inputs

    - You can connect up to three audio sources at once using the multiple rear-panel input options. These include:

    Adjustable EQ

    - The Alpha Twin Evo features rear-panel controls for fine-tuning the sound to your specific acoustic environment. This includes a low-frequency shelving filter (±6 dB below 250 Hz) and a high-frequency shelving filter (±3 dB above 4.5 kHz).

    Adjustable sensitivity

    - You can switch between 0 dB and +6 dB sensitivity, allowing you to match the monitor's operating level to your system. 

    Automatic standby mode

    - This power-saving feature turns the monitor off after 15 minutes of inactivity and can be disabled with a rear-panel switch.

    Solid build

    - The monitor has a robust 5/8-inch MDF cabinet with internal bracing for optimal durability and consistent sound.

    Protective grilles
