This long-excursion active subwoofer offers high efficiency for the most demanding professionals and sound engineers. Rated at 200W RMS, The Focal Sub One is ideal for use with the Alpha Evo line, as well as the Shape line of monitors.
 
Discreet And Versatile
For discreet, optimal studio integration, Sub One features a slim, space-saving profile. Added features include low-pass crossover, high-pass crossover for monitor output, sound level, footswitch input/output for bass-management bypass, LFE input/output, left and right inputs/outputs.
 
Performance
The 20 cm (8") Slatefiber double-skin woofers offer neutrality, precision and sonic dynamics with low distortion. With a total power output of 200W RMS, Sub One covers a frequency range from 32 Hz to 120 Hz.
 
Design
Thanks to its elaborate full-width design and front-mounted air vents, this professional subwoofer fits discreetly and easily into a room along a wall or under a desk.

  • Driver and power                                                                               Dual Slatefiber woofers

    - Equipped with two 8-inch (20 cm) Slatefiber cone woofers, which are made in Focal's factory in France. The double-skinned design of the cones offers increased rigidity for precise and dynamic bass with minimal distortion.

    200W RMS amplification

    - The drivers are powered by a 200-watt RMS (root mean square) Class D amplifier.

    Low frequency performance

    - It has a frequency response of 32 Hz to 120 Hz ($\pm$3dB) and a maximum peak sound pressure level (SPL) of 114 dB at 1 meter. 

    Versatile cabinet and controls                                                        Front-ported design

    - The subwoofer has large front-firing ports, which allow it to be placed discreetly against a wall or under a desk without affecting performance.

    - A switchable high-pass crossover for satellite speakers with selectable frequencies of 60 Hz or 90 Hz.

    Footswitch input

    - A 1/4" input and output allow for a pedal-controlled mute function, which can be linked with multiple subwoofers for easy 2.1 bypass.

    Auto standby

    - The unit has a selectable auto-standby mode to save energy.
