The KSD B500 Subextension is the ideal partner for expanding the performance of KSD main monitors such as the KSD A500, KSD A200mk2 or the KSD C100 Reference.
 
In combination with the KSD B500, the main monitors experience extreme relief when it comes to reproducing the lower octave. The double ten-inch drives with 1000W amplifier power per pair not only increase the maximum sound power, but also give the entire system a different level of performance. In interaction with the bass chassis of the top parts, the common membrane area multiplies, resulting in an almost planar wave front in the bass. This significantly improves the room illumination in the bass with fewer mode-related room problems.
To ensure a controlled and powerful reproduction of deep bass frequencies, the B500 Subextension is controlled via the XLR sub-output of the main monitor with time-correct sound conversion using the patented FIRTECTM technology. The digital signal processor linearizes the frequency response, while internal filters allow for precise tuning to the room and application. Additionally, the adjustable delay compensates for any spatial offset between the B500 and the satellites.
