The essence of the summing module is a uniquely designed saturator composed of a combination of operational amplifiers, as well as passive, and active summing. Close replication of the warmth-inducing effects of vintage studio equipment results in natural smoothing of signal peaks, and subtle injection of low order harmonics. Moreover the summing section features a unique "Magic" module, which enlivens and juices up the mix even further. While SATUR 8/24 is clearly designed to perform the function of glue and tonal colorizer for the whole mix, it is as excellent for processing subgroups, and adding saturation to individual tracks.
