Upholding a valued tradition of offering quality ribbon mics at affordable prices, Pinnacle Microphones bestows upon thee, the Fat Top II short ribbon microphone.

Redesigned with both form factor and durability in mind, the Fat Top II uses a 2.5 micron ribbon for a warm and “fat” sound. The Fat Top II also has a brass body to help protect the microphone from stray RF noise while incorporating a reinforced neck and grill assembly along with upgraded plating on its hardware and gold-plated XLR connector. The Fat Top II is at home in both project and professional studios, as well as live on stage.

Mounted on a through-hole circuit board, the Fat Top II includes a Lundahl LL2913 transformer. Each microphone is carefully assembled and tested at our headquarters in Olympia, Washington. The Fat Top II is an excellent choice for guitar cabinets, vocals, horns, strings, and drum overheads.
